The weeklong Western Shoshone Peace and Friendship Walk and Run culminated with prayers, and a meal for the mothers at Peace Camp this morning, across from Yucca Mountain, on land recognized as Western Shoshone in the Treaty of Ruby Valley of 1863.
Buck Sampson, Northern Paiute, said, "The men cooked the meal for moms here."
On Sunday morning, following a week of prayers, walking and running to the Nevada Test Site and Yucca Mountain, Western Shoshone began taking down their camps to head home.

Thank you to Carl Bad Bear Sampson for documenting this week in photos for Censored News, and his father Buck Sampson, for sharing his powerful words with Censored News.
